Tuscany Now & More are a villa rental  company with over 25 years of experience.

It was our first visit to Tuscany and on arrival we were already left wondering why we hadn’t ventured to this part of Italy previously. Vast areas of green, along with hills and beautiful historic homes make up the Tuscany. For many people this is the ideal getaway from the endless amounts of noise that originate from cities. However Tuscany isn’t like any other getaway destination that is completely isolated from the rest of the world.

Tuscany Now & More

Tuscany Now & More are a villa rental company with over 25 years of experience. Founded in 1990, by owners Simon and Barbara Ball the company now boasts more than 150 handpicked luxury villas equipped with modern pools, maids and concierge services.

Its neighbouring towns and cities hugely compliment the beauty of Tuscany. Florence, Sienna and Pisa are all located within a reasonable commute and well within a comfortable drive, something that we took full advantage of throughout our visit. Tuscany has the appeal for any visitors looking to visit the great cities that presides it but holiday-goers can also take full advantage of the luxury of a beautiful and endless countryside.

In addition to the above named cities, there are the smaller hilltowns such as San Gimignano, Cortona and Volterra that are seriously worth a visit. The small local walled village of San Gimignano was a personal favourite. Located halfway between Florence and Siena and a mere ten minutes drive from our Villa, the medieval village is recognised since 1990 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A must see during any visit to San Gimignano are the Palazzo Comunale, Torre Grossa and Pinacoteca. The Torre Grossa – the tallest tower in the village gives visitors an amazing 360 degree view over the entire surroundings.

In so many parts of the world, culture can be seen as an optional extra, something that you do in your spare time. In Tuscany it is the foundation of its very existence. From the local cuisine, and wine, through to its farmland and buildings, Tuscany really is draped in a culture unique to itself.

Driving through Tuscany from the airport, it was instantly obvious how the local culture has shaped the town to what it is in the present day. Many things have remained preserved, none less than the surrounding undulating hills that provide the ideal facility for some of the most magnificent views imaginable.

Upon arrival at our Villa we were greeted by the house owner and everything that we needed was explained and demonstrated to us. Everything that was provided with our villa had been thoroughly thought through with a variety of books in different languages to every kitchen utensil that you could possibly need. Nothing had been spared by the home-owner, ensuring our stay at the villa would be stress-free.

The breath taking views that we had experienced on our drive through Tuscany were amazing and fortunately for us the views on hand from our Villa, the San Leolino is something that we will never forget.

Our Villa – San Leolino that was arranged by Tuscany Now & More was completely faultless. Boasting 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and a highly spacious number of lounge rooms, the building is more than adequately resourced to host up to 12 people comfortably. Along with its sheer size, the Villa itself was extremely well maintained from the inside to the outside and it showed no signs of ageing. This is no doubt partly down to the management of the Villa with it being cleaned every other day to a high standard.
