We are the sole distributors of Wattitud bikes in the UK. Our bikes are available to order online or in store from one of our branches in London and Wiltshire, and nationwide delivery is available. Our main showroom is in West Byfleet.

HOW DOES THE ELECTRIC ASSISTANCE WORK?

​

Your electric bike is not a scooter. The electric assistance only switches on when you pedal. As soon as you stop pedalling, assistance cuts.

 

Models have 3-5 levels of assistance. Maximum assistance cuts off automatically at 25 km/h. Of course you can drive faster than 25 km/h, but without assistance. We advise you to start rolling without assistance and to activate after a few meters. You can also decide to ride without assistance (in this case you save your battery).

WHAT IS THE BATTERY LIFE?

​

Our bikes are equipped with lithium batteries (LI ION) which are much more powerful than the lead batteries or Nickel-Metal Hybrid batteries. They also have a much longer life. Our batteries do not suffer from memory effect and can recharge more than 800 times.

 

You will usually cover between 45 and 70 km with a 10Ah battery and up to 90 km with a 13Ah battery, which is enough for everyday use or for weekend use.

SHOULD THE BATTERY BE CHARGED AFTER EVERY USE?

​

No, the battery does not require charge after every use.

HOW DO I CHARGE THE BATTERY? 

​

A charger is provided and you just have to plug into any mains outlet. You can charge the battery on the bike, or unlock the battery from the frame to recharge anywhere.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CHARGE?

​

The full charge time is about 5 hours.

WHAT IS THE LIFESPAN OF BATTERIES?

​

With 800 load cycles and an average low of 45 km of use, the life of your battery is 36 000 km (this is theoretical, but you can almost go round the world!)

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY BATTERY IS CHARGED?

​

An LED charge indicator, located on the handlebars or on the battery will indicate the remaining charge level.

SHOULD I WEAR A HELMET?

​

It is not mandatory, but highly recommended. You must wear reflective clothing when riding at night.

SHOULD I TAKE OUT INSURANCE TO RIDE WITH MY ELECTRIC BIKE?

​

No, your electric bicycle is considered a classic bike.

​

IS MY ELECTRIC BIKE HEAVIER THAN A CONVENTIONAL BIKE?

​

Our electric bikes are made with aluminium frames and the latest generation of lithium batteries, making the average weight of our bikes 25 kilos, but you forget it as soon as you trigger the power assistance.
